On Thursday 30th November, Mercy Connect held it’s inaugural Open Day at the St. Johns grounds in Thurgoona.
The event was attended by many participants, families, staff, directors and guests, as well as the Mercy Connect office in Orange tuning in via Skype!
The day was a great success, showcasing the Branching Out Crew and Ecco Crew, art and craft market stalls, rounder’s team challenge and recycled wearable art competition. The Bottlebrush Café was also open during the festivities serving coffee, cakes and sandwiches.
There was even a choir and drums performance from participants and staff. As seen in the feature photo, Erina, Coral, Marianne, Wayne, Mark and Anthony performed to the guests during the Open Day. It was a great performance, everyone should be proud of the effort they put in.
It was great to see all Board members able to attend the day and at 2pm a Open General Meeting was held, which was a first for Mercy Connect and was welcomed by all who attended the day.
It has been agreed the Open Day was a great success and Mercy Connect cannot wait until Open Day 2018!
