Community inclusion brings rewards

TAKING a person-centered approach and focusing on community inclusion, is enabling Mercy Connect to make a real, positive change in people’s lives.

IT was smiles all round when seven members of the St Johns work crew graduated with a Certificate I in Work Education from Wodonga TAFE.

The Vision Sculpture

The Vision is an artwork produced by our 2016 TAFE students as a dedication to former, present and future participants and the staff of Mercy Connect.

A Special Thanks

HELPING people is part of the job for Mercy Connect grounds coordinator, Geoff Bartel. So it was a bit of a surprise when Kyle Sullivan arrived one morning with a gift of some tomato seedlings.

CREATING an environment where people can thrive is the driving force behind changes in the way Mercy Connect delivers its services. To improve accommodation services team leaders have become active members of homes, ensuring the needs and choices of individual residents are a priority.

Sheryl Meredith

WEAVING her magic to make a house a home is Sheryl Meredith’s passion. Luckily for her that’s just what she gets to do. She is presently the Team Leader for the Vickers 1 home and has a real drive to connect people with where they live.

Steve Whitby

A beaming smile and a sparkle in his eyes is the first thing you notice when Steve Whitby talks about his work with people with a disability. Steve is the Team Leader for the Mercy Connect, Vickers 2 house.
